WNYC Declares April 21 "Poem in Your Pocket Day"

This link will take you to a poem to Stanley Kunitz (an indirect mentor of mine) read by Mark Doty.

If you don't know Leonard Lopate or his show, check him out HERE.

Lopate interviews some of the most interesting people on the planet. Delighted to learn that I can get his show via podcast. Here's the RSS feed address: http://www.wnyc.org/rss/show.py?show=lopate

Quoted from the WNYC web site:

"Thursday, April 21 is Poem in Your Pocket Day!

"The Academy of American Poets founded National Poetry Month ten years ago, and part of the celebration is "Poem in Your Pocket Day." On Thursday, April 21, to encourage New Yorkers to share poems with friends and family, the Academy will be giving away free poetry books by Derek Walcott, James Merrill, Wislawa Szymborska, Paul Muldoon and many more. Come to the Bryant Park Reading Room between 11:00 and 2:00 to get yours!"
