Bruce Weber Reads @ Joshua Meander's Nomad's Choir - Autumn 1994

An enthusiastic group of poets and lovers of poetry are gathered to listen by Joshua Meander.

Nomad's Choir was located on West 4th Street in New York City. Anybody know the address?

Bruce is joined by choreographer/dancer Toni Taylor and poet, Bob Hart.

In this reading you see the sprout of what eventually grew to become Weber's band, the No Chance Ensemble.

Pt. Loma 2002 Writers Symposium: Kathleen Norris

Second time around listening to this amazing woman speak. Mainly because I heard her on a KUOW podcast that will be sent down The-Hold's RSS feed in due course.

"Copyediting...kind of like water torture."
"Faith is best thought of as a verb."

Robert Croma :: Video Poetry

I've been waiting for Robert Croma to upload a new video in order to re-vlog his work and provide you with fresh media.

Today's the day.

:)

Had occasion to work with still photographer Annie Liebovitz on a motion picture project featuring the great Lauri Anderson. Liebovitz just didn't get the transition from still to motion.

Still photog Croma gets the poetry of it.

Layers of meaning, movement, rhythm, rhyme, repetition.

Oh.

Yeah.

Bullemhead's Singing Woodchuck Variety Minute

Bullemhead :: Macho Poet.

Visual poetry takes many forms.

The-Hold likes to push the envelope.

Comedy in poetry is perhaps more difficult than politics in poetry.

Bullemhead is part of Wreck & Salvage, which makes human-made media that won't insult you.

Well, not much.

Moreover, Wreck & Salvage experiments with making money making videoblogs by means of its Ebay auctions for adspace. Check it out, HERE.

It's ART.

No, it's ADVERTISING.

No, it's definitely art.

Videobloggers on the cutting edge of advertising models.
